(Daizenshuu 2, p.130 / Daizenshuu 4, p.69)
As a descendent of the alien Three-Eyed People, he has physical idiosyncrasies that can't be considered that of an Earthling, such as splitting into four people, and growing arms from his shoulders. He's a rare pure martial artist, who only wishes to get stronger.

This could very well mean Tien > Krillin? Since Krillin was said to be the strongest Human other than Uub.

Daizenshuu 2 – Story Guide
Tenshinhan wanders throughout the entire Earth. He will continue training forever.

Vol. 42 / Chp. 517 It seems that he (Chaozu who follows Tenshinhan orders) trains often in northern provinces, and in the mountains he wears heavy clothing.

Daizenshuu 2. After the battle with Cell, (Krillin) peacefully lives with No. 18 at Kame House. Even having a daughter now, he has thoroughly distanced himself from battle.

I think he very well came from the tribe, but I think the tribe is just as normal as any other DB human in the DB world. There's monster(still a type of human) and regular humans that possibly reproduce to make those weird looking humans we see run around DB.

Anyway, that's why I see no problem in Tenshinhan coming from the tribe -- he's just normal like everyone else. Maybe his tribe or certain human race allows him to be stronger than most others. Roshi trained hard, Krillin got great training from the Oorin Temple.

Because I'm sure that when those entries were written they discussed it with Toriyama first and didn't just make up some completely bulls*** fact.

Just because a bunch of people made up some stuff about DBZ and managed to get it published doesn't make it a fact.

I personally don't agree with Toriyama's claim that Krillin is the strongest human (aside from Oob, of course).

Everything points to Tenshinhan being the strongest, and his constant training supports this when you think about it in relation to Krillin's lack of training over the years.

Krillin's potential unlock on Namek couldn't have given him that much of a boost to keep him ahead of Ten for so long, unless the unlock somehow gave him a constant, unfettered rise in power regardless of how much he trained.

Or something else to consider is Tenshinhan's lineage. If he's too unlike a human to actually be considered "human", than the claim that Krillin's the strongest human could actually be correct; even if Tenshinhan's stronger.

For example, anyone descended from Saiyans tends to be considered "Saiyan" even if most of their heritage his human. It's possible that Tenshinhan is considered that with these mysterious "Three Eyed People."

Yet that's never brought up in the series. He's only ever considered one of the humans, and Toriyama himself regarded Ten's third eye as enlightenment, not alien crap.

Who said anything about aliens?
He could very well be "Earthling", but not specifically human. There's a difference. For example, Oolong is still considered an Earthling, but he's obviously not human.

For all we know, the Three Eyed People can be Earthlings, but not specifically humans.

Tien not being a human was not contradicted in the manga but it was also never mentioned what was he.

The Daizenshuu was created by Akira Toriyama's staff. He also wrote info for Daizenshuu 4.

As far as I'm concerned, there isn't sufficient evidence to claim Tenshinhan is anything but a human/earthling. The Three-Eyed people stuff is fine and all but it doesn't make Ten any less of a human in the manga.

I can have German ancestry but that doesn't make me German.

As a matter of fact it would make youPosted Image kidding.

Though there is no reason to think AT always had in mind Tien like King Piccolo etc being a non earthling when writing the Magna. Because it was his staff that wrote that info which comes from AT.

Indeed this is true, but Toriyama's reasoning when it comes to Saiyan heritage isn't comparable to real life lineages. Pan could be human, but because she's descended from Saiyans, it somehow makes her classified as a Saiyan even though she's more "human" than "Saiyan".

I could throw the JK Rowling Harry Potter wizarding lineage in as well. Her reasoning for Magic linage in her series works almost the same way Toriyama's does for Saiyans in Dragon Ball. Even if both sets of grandparents for a wizard/witch were muggles, the wizard/witch would still be considered pure blooded. By all accounts, it doesn't make sense, but that's the way that both series seem to rationalize heritage.

It's "manga," not "magna." :'(

I just linked you to everything that proves Ten is not an alien. All you did was shrug it off and say AT personally wrote that 3-Eyed Poop stuff, with no source that that actually came from his mind. In fact, the interview I linked you to, which you didn't seem to read, has Toriyama stating that Ten's third eye had nothing to do with any alien lineage. I guess I'll post it again for you.

What's up with the third eye on my main man Tenshinhan? Is Tenshinhan human?

It seems that Tenshinhan, who was raised by the evil Tsuru-Sen'nin [Crane Hermit], lost the ability to use the myriad powers of his third eye for good purposes.

The same Daizenshuu that you got the 3-Eyed Tribe stuff from also classified Ten as an Earthling, so the only book that claims he's not 100% human (a "descendent" at that) also says he's an Earthling just like Krillin, Videl, Chaozu, etc.

Got anything else?

I'd think it's simply because Saiyans are more prevalent/relevant than humans, so if there was a hybrid who was only 10% Saiyan and 90% human, they'd still be regarded as Saiyan because nobody would think otherwise of someone who's considered a human. It adds more oomph to be labeled as a Saiyan than a human, if that makes sense.

Ten, on the other hand, is considered human even by Toriyama himself. We don't know where the 3-Eyed Tribe stuff came from, but I doubt it was from Toriyama's mind since he's spoken otherwise on the matter, and like I pointed out above to Zenet, the same book lists Ten as an Earthling as well; so whatever alien he has in his blood is so diluted that he's basically human and classified as such.

This controversy only started after the statement of Yamcha on Krillin being the strongest Earthling. Before, everyone accepted that Tien was a human. Here's pasta from my post on the other thread:

"The term used in the Guidebook and in the manga is properly translated as "earthling". People born on Earth can be called Earthlings. Tien was stated to be an Earthling in the Diaz and not a combo like Gohan (who is stated to be Earthling and Saiyan in the Guidebook - so therefore in the manga can be refereed to as both, and were).

Someone qualifies to be an Earthling by being born on Earth. While Tien had alien ancestors, he is still considered 100% Earthling by the Guidebook and manga."

When the controversy started, people wanted to nitpick at the description of his ancestors in the Guidebook. However, they completely ignored the more important section of the book which is classification section which shows Tien as Earthling with no other tangible classification.

At DP Troll Posted Image:Stop talking to me like a arrogant troll when my post's mean no harm what so ever.

It is the same Daizenshuu that says he has alien ancestry so what's your point? You latter say Daizenshu has nothing to do with Arkia Toriyama? when it Is his staff who puts down the info which makes it his own info, this is pretty much common sense. Which you like to ignore allot when it suits you.

In certain parts of Asia, beings with a third eye on their forehead are thought to be godlike and are said to possess the power of true seeing. It seems that Tenshinhan, who was raised by the evil Tsuru-Sen'nin [Crane Hermit], lost the ability to use the myriad powers of his third eye for good purposes.

If you didn't notice yet Asia doesn't exist in the Dragonabll world. The mentioning of Asia was used as a reference from were he got the idea from and there is no mention of a tribe whatsoever.

Like what "Itachi" said Tien is considered an earthling. Though who happens to have ancient alien ancestry that was never mentioned. The same way Kami or Piccolo were earthlings before the mentioning of Namek.
